SARASOTA COUNTY - Deputies arrested another man in a home-invasion robbery that led to school lockdowns and a manhunt Tuesday afternoon.
Donald M. Templeton, 41, was the driver of a getaway car that a father and son duo used to flee from a house in the 2900 block of Victoria Avenue, the sheriff's office said today.
The father and son, Donald Samber Jr. and Donald Samber III, burst into the trailer, demanded prescription pills and were stabbed by the man they tried to rob, the sheriff's office said.
The Sambers then beat up the 47-year-old man, who was flown to Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, where he remains today. He is expected to survive, sheriff's officials said.
The Sambers were arrested Tuesday and charged with attempted murder and home-invasion robbery. Templeton was arrested for principal to a home-invasion robbery with a firearm.
