Ryan O'Neal and his son were arrested Wednesday morning after drugs were found at the actor's Malibu home during a routine probation check, authorities said.

Investigators suspect both men had methamphetamine, but the substances still need to be tested, Los Angeles County Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore said.

Los Angeles Sheriff's deputies and probation officers went to O'Neal's home to check on his son, Redmond, who is on probation after pleading guilty in June to drug possession charges.

Whitmore said in addition to drugs that deputies suspect belong to Redmond O'Neal, deputies also found narcotics in Ryan O'Neal's living area. Both men remain in custody on $10,000 bail and could be charged with felony possession of narcotics.

Redmond, 23, is the son of actress Farrah Fawcett.

Dear Mom: I'm Pregnant

The mother of Britney and Jamie Lynn Spears says Jamie Lynn told her she was pregnant in a note.

Lynne Spears said on NBC's "Today" show Wednesday that Jamie Lynn - 16 years old at the time - handed her the note and told her to go into the bedroom and read it.

The note said she was pregnant but "everything was gonna be OK, mom" and that she and boyfriend Casey Aldridge were going to raise the baby.

"I thought it was a joke," Spears said in an interview.

Spears said she realized it wasn't a joke because Aldridge, a pipe-layer from Liberty, Miss., wouldn't look at her.

"I was just truly in shock and then I started to cry. And then she started consoling me at that point," said Spears, who writes of Jamie Lynn and her older daughter, Britney, in her new memoir, "Through the Storm."

Kelly Doesn't Like 'Anyone Illegal'

In his first interview since being acquitted of child pornography charges, R. Kelly dismissed allegations that he ever preyed on young girls, telling BET News: "I don't like anyone illegal."

Kelly also said he was relieved when the trial was over, and that his upcoming album would feature less of the sexually charged material that has come to define his multiplatinum career.

"I'm really trying to make this album ... a little bit different," he said in an interview that aired on the network Tuesday. "Take a little bit of the edge off, you know? And you know, clean up a few lyrics if I can, you know?"

Though the interview did not specifically address the child pornography charges, Kelly, 40, was asked about the perception that he is attracted to young girls (Kelly was married to the late singer Aaliyah when she was 15, but the marriage was quickly annulled).

When asked if he liked teenage girls, Kelly replied: "When you say teenage, how - how old are we talkin' ... 19?"

"I have some 19-year-old friends," he added. "But I don't like anybody illegal, if that's what we're talking about, underage."
