DADE CITY - Pasco County sheriff's investigators have identified a man found dead this morning at Withlacoochee River Park and have ruled the death a homicide.
A passer-by found the body of 33-year-old Harry Leon Taylor of Dade City off River Road about one-half mile north of the Duck Lake Canal Road intersection. Taylor's body was about 20 feet off the road near a fence, sheriff's spokesman Kevin Doll said.
Investigators have not said anything about a cause of death or how long Taylor's body might have been there.
Pasco Fire Rescue responded to the site after receiving a report of a "man down." Rescue officials notified sheriff's investigators at 9:20 a.m.
Anyone with information should call Detective Jennifer Christensen at 1-800-854-2862, ext. 5019.
