Bradenton Man Accused Of Seducing Teen Over Internet

Venice police arrested Christopher Wade Carter, 23, early today after he reportedly met a 15-year-old girl on the social networking site MySpace and drove from Bradenton for sex with her.
Police charged Carter with seducing a child over the Internet and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
A report issued by Venice police said an officer on a routine building security check in the 1200 block of East Venice Avenue noticed a blue Dodge backing up and speeding off. Police searching the area found a 15-year-old girl who admitted she had been with Carter in his car. She said she had recently met him on MySpace.
They also found Carter hiding in his car. Carter told police he had picked the girl up after she sneaked out of her parents' house, talked with her about having sex and admitted knowing she was 15, the report stated.
He was later released from the Sarasota County Jail on $1,120 bond.
