LARGO - Pinellas deputies' search for a woman they say repeatedly fired a gun into a family's house because of a business dispute is getting national attention.
Fox television's "America's Most Wanted" plans to profile Courtenay Savage, who is wanted in a 2006 case on six counts of attempted murder, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said today.
Detective Jeremy Lewis will go to Washington to be part of the program, which is scheduled to be televised Saturday.
Savage, 33, of Spring Hill posted bail after her arrest in September 2006 but failed to show up at a pretrial court hearing in July 2007.
A coordinated effort among more than 75 law enforcement agencies statewide and the U.S. Marshals Service called Operation Orange Crush recently attempted to find her.
Detectives suspect she is working in an aromatherapy or massage business and seek help finding her.
Savage, a former Hillsborough County jail deputy and Tampa police officer, is accused of shooting into a home at 6301 144th Ave. N., Clearwater, on July 10, Aug. 9 and Sept. 7, 2006.
She was arrested after the final incident, during which she was caught on surveillance video by a camera detectives had mounted outside the home after the second shooting.
Detectives said the homeowner, Christina Londrini, was inside during the last attack with her mother-in-law and six children.
One bullet shattered a mirror, cutting an infant, and others narrowly missed family members, detectives said.
Savage was arrested later that day at a Perkins Restaurant in Clearwater, where she had agreed to meet Londrini. Deputies had to subdue her as she tried to get back to her vehicle to get a loaded handgun from the console.
They said Savage told them she shot into Londrini's home on three occasions.
Detectives said Savage told them she was angry about a business deal with Londrini. Savage said she had health problems and gave Londrini an aromatherapy business, detectives said.
When she regained her health, she wanted several business items back, which led to the dispute, they said.
Detectives, with the FBI and the U.S. Marshals Service, have been searching for Savage since her disappearance. In addition to the eight counts of attempted murder, she faces charges of resisting arrest without violence and criminal mischief.
Anyone with information about Savage is asked to contact Lewis at (727) 582-6200, or to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477).
