Troopers: Motorcyclist Dies In Polk After Car Runs Over Him

A 19-year-old man was killed Thursday night on U.S. 192 southwest of Disney World after his motorcycle rear-ended another motorcycle and he was run over by a car, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Adrian Singh of Clermont was riding his 2006 Suzuki with four other motorcycles eastbound on U.S. 192 near U.S. 27 in Polk County about 7:55 p.m., when a 2001 Suzuki in front of him slowed and changed lanes, troopers said. Singh didn't notice the movements of the other motorcycle, driven by Vincent E. Smith of Clermont, and Singh's bike hit Smith's, sending Singh off his bike and into the center lane, troopers said. After landing on the road, Singh was run over by a compact car that never stopped, troopers said.

Singh was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he died.
