Man Who'd Been Drinking At Party Lies In Road, Killed By Car

Tampa - A 19-year-old man who had been drinking at a party was killed this morning as he lay in the southbound lanes of Sheldon Road, north of Waters Avenue, authorities said.

Witnesses said the victim, Brett Johnson Bailey, 9113 Bay Meadow Court, Tampa, had been drinking alcohol at a party before he was run over at about 4:15 a.m., the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said. The driver of the 2002 Acura Integra, Stephanie Marisol Maisonet, 25, Tampa, told deputies she did not see the victim in the road until it was too late.

The driver was not cited or charged.
