Clearwater police have released a description of a man suspected in Wednesday's slaying of cabdriver Jack Lagrand.
The person was seen in surveillance video leaving the scene of the homicide behind 25706 U.S. 19 N.
He is thin, about 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-9, and had short dark hair.
He was wearing a large white T-shirt with a black skull design across the upper back and skeleton hands on the front shoulders. He also wore dark shorts.
Lagrand, 50, of Clearwater, was found halfway out of the open driver's door of his Yellow Cab in a shopping plaza parking lot, Clearwater public safety spokeswoman Elizabeth Daly-Watts said. Police said he was killed between 1 and 2 a.m. A plaza business owner found him about 7:30 a.m.
Lagrand, of 2296 Primrose Lane, is the third cabdriver killed this year in Pinellas County, with the previous slayings occurring in St. Petersburg.
Blue Star cab driver Cyril Obinka, 45, died in May after he was found shot in the abdomen on 26th Street South. Yellow Cab driver Linda Faison, 39, was found dead in July near Azalea Middle School hours after she picked up a passenger at 5:40 a.m.
Anyone with information about Lagrand's slaying is asked to call Clearwater police at (727) 562-4422.
