THE DIFFERENCE: Jesuit scored in all three phases of the game in the first half. Jesuit's shotgun attack overwhelmed the St. Petersburg Catholic defense, as the quarterbacks completed 12 of 20 passes for 232 yards and the Tigers rushed for 118 yards.
GAME NOTES: Jesuit's P.J. Hobson returned a blocked punt 40 yards to start the scoring barrage and later had a sack. ... St. Pete Catholic doomed itself with five personal fouls and two false starts in the first half. ... SPC had 143 yards of offense in the first half. ... St. Pete Catholic junior QB Chris McKay threw six fewer passes than Jesuit's Ryan James in the first half, but outgained him 137 yards to 122... Barons WR Julian Smith reeled in a 98-yard pass from James over a Jesuit defender for the highlight of the game. ... Five Jesuit receivers caught passes in the first half from two different QBs... Jesuit DB Michael Miller returned an interception 41 yards for a TD seconds before halftime. ...
