PLAY OF THE WEEK
What else? Evan Longoria, right, tracking back toward the stands down the left-field line to squeeze the final out in Saturday's 7-2 victory, the out that sent the Rays to the playoffs for the first time.
"When I was in Anaheim, we didn't really get picked to do anything. But here, we got picked to stink. We got picked to be in last place, might be a little better. STAT OF THE WEEK
Home games the Rays won against the Red Sox this season, their most ever against one opponent in a single campaign.
THE WEEK AHEAD
The final week of the regular season beckons, and for the first time the Rays can look forward to playing into October. But first, they'll pay a visit to a couple of long-eliminated teams as they look to lock up the division title. First comes Baltimore, which will host four games in three days, including a doubleheader Tuesday, before the Rays move on to Detroit for a four-game set beginning Thursday.
