Body Found Under Memorial Causeway Bridge In Clearwater

CLEARWATER - A passerby found the body of Taylor Ryan Jones, 25, floating face-down in the water under the west side of the Memorial Causeway Bridge this afternoon, the Clearwater Police Department said.

Police investigators called the death suspicious, said Joelle Castelli, spokeswoman for the city.

Members of the Clearwater Fire Department pronounced Jones, of 27 Heilwood St., No. 6, Clearwater Beach, dead at the scene, police said.

The body was found at 1:17 p.m.

The Pinellas-Pasco Medical Examiner's Office is expected to determine how Jones died, and no results are expected before Wednesday, Castelli said.
