VALRICO - Bloomingdale had no answer for Newsome's hitting power on Tuesday as the Wolves remained undefeated with a three-game sweep, 25-21, 25-22, 25-19.
Jonni Raga, Lauren Zellmen and Hillary Byrd each had seven kills to lead Newsome (5-0, 1-0) while Megan Gillmore had 22 assists. Sean Thurman added 15 digs.
"It was a good win," Newsome coach Shelby Jordan said. "It gave the girls a lot of confidence going into our districts."
Brandi Kines led the Bulls (4-2) with eight kills. Caitlyn Blair had four aces and 38 assists while Kaitlyn Parker had 32 assists.
"We did more blocking this game. We haven't played a team that can hit like that," Bloomingdale coach Bonnie Hess said. "But we got to get sets where out hitters can hit it hard. (Newsome) hit it harder than we did."
