Published: September 25, 2008

TALLAHASSEE - Florida State's offense had a warning of bad things to come during its final practice before the Wake Forest game. The sloppiness of that practice was mirrored in FSU's 12-3 loss Saturday. It was a game filled with penalties and missed assignments for the offense.

Coach Bobby Bowden and offensive coordinator Jimbo Fisher were pleased with Thursday's practice, and Fisher said it reflected a good week of preparation.

"It's all about execution," Bowden said. "They seemed to know more about what they were doing today."

COACHES SETTLE ON STARTERS: Caz Piurowski (Land O' Lakes) will start at tight end in his first game back from suspensions. ... Defensive coordinator Mickey Andrews expects Korey Mangum to start over Patrick Robinson at boundary cornerback. ... It was not announced whether Kenny Ingram or Dekoda Watson would start at weakside linebacker although Bowden said Watson was working with the first team. ... Fisher is optimistic injured freshman tailback Ty Jones can play against Colorado
