SCOUTING REPORT: Konopka showed what he brings to the table right from the start and he hasn't held anything back in his attempt to earn a roster spot. He is an agitator on the ice who can get under opponents' skin and he won't hesitate to drop the gloves to defend himself or a teammate. Konopka is a heart-and-soul player who will give it his all on every shift and may have risen up the depth chart with his preseason performance.
PROJECTION: A depth center who should be a candidate for captain in Norfolk.
