TAMPA - Rosemary Jenkins heard someone banging on the front door and windows of her Odessa home shortly after 9 p.m. Thursday, deputies said.
When Jenkins opened the door her home, at 8030 Peterson Road, she saw an acquaintance, according to an affidavit.
According to the affidavit, Renaye Lashawn Hicks, 33, was waiving a semiautomatic handgun and asking for Ndiyya Anderson, who was asleep in a back bedroom. Hicks then came into the home uninvited, deputies said, and referred to the gun while saying, "This is my best friend. Come and get some."
When Jenkins and Anderson ran and hid, Hicks ran out of the house, deputies said.
Hicks also made threatening phone calls to Jenkins' residence before arriving at the home.
Hicks, a dancer at Vegas Showgirls, a strip club in St. Petersburg, was later arrested at her home, at 15145 Rails Road in Odessa. She was charged with aggravated assault with a firearm, armed burglary of a dwelling and making harassing phone calls. She is being held at the Orient Road Jail. Bail was set at $52,250.
