Rays Fans Take Their Party To The Streets

Rays fans could be wearing these brand new AL East champs shirts tonight at the street party in downtown St. Pete.

Mayor Rick Baker has asked Tampa Bay Rays fans to gather near Tropicana Field tonight for a street party.

The party to celebrate the Rays clinching the American League East title will be on Central Avenue between 13th and 15th streets. Baker and Council Chairman James Bennett will greet fans between 7 and 8 p.m.

Also, Baker ordered that the LED lighting display at The Pier be colored Rays blue at 7 p.m. in support of the team.

Fans can also welcome the team home at St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport at 8 p.m. Sunday.
