SAFETY HARBOR - An unspecified amount of money was stolen this morning at a Fifth Third Bank in Safety Harbor.
The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office is investigating the robbery which happened at about 11:45 a.m. at 1703 McMullen Booth Road.
According to the office, the suspect entered the bank, approached a teller, brandished a handgun and demanded cash. After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled on foot.
The sheriff's office described the suspect as a white male in his late 40s, approximately 5-foot-9 and about 200 pounds. He was wearing a blue T-shirt, khaki shorts, light tan boots, a ball cap and gold, wire-rim prescription glasses.
