Pasco Deputies ID Body Found In Trash Bin, Call Case Homicide

PORT RICHEY - The body that was found in a trash bin Saturday was the victim of "homicidal violence," authorities said today.

The man was identified by the Pasco-Pinellas Medical Examiner as Anthony S. Granton, 18, of 6124 Seabreeze Drive, New Port Richey.

Investigators aren't saying anything about how Granton died.

"We are not releasing how long we think the body was in the Dumpster or the exact cause of death," Pasco County Sheriff's Office spokesman Doug Tobin said in a news release.

The body was discovered in a trash bin in the parking lot of the Orchid Lake Village Civic Association pool, 7425 Orchid Lake Road

Deputies were called to the scene shortly before 3 p.m. Saturday.
