EATONVILLE - Three people have been arrested for allegedly writing bad checks on the town of Eatonville's main bank account.
Police arrested two men and a woman, including a brother and sister, in the case on Thursday.
Investigators say the woman had the checks made using a refund she received for canceling a reservation at the Eatonville community center.
The three allegedly spent more than $2,700 on cell phones, alcohol and other retail items in just one week.
The Eatonville finance director discovered the withdrawals when she logged onto the bank Web site.
