Clearwater police are asking the public for help in finding a man who they say is connected to the fatal shooting of a cab driver on Wednesday.
The man is described as between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall with a thin build and short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a large white T-shirt with a black skull design across the upper back and skeleton hands on the front shoulders. He was also wearing dark-colored shorts.
Taxi driver Jack LaGrand was found shot to death inside his cab just before 7:30 a.m. Wednesday. The cab was in a parking lot behind a Clearwater strip mall. LaGrand was killed between 1 and 2 a.m. Wednesday, detectives said.
Investigators are canvassing the area and handing out fliers in hopes that residents have information on the shooter, police said.
