I am writing to you today to express my opinion on an important subject. Music Programs across the country are having their budgets cut by lack of funding.
Music is important because it helps students with other subjects at school. It helps develop math and science skills. It helps develop creativity. But mostly, it's a very fun activity for kids to participate in! It's better than sitting on the couch watching television.
Music appeals to everybody, no matter how much money you have, no matter who you are! Music brings joy to people.
I'm a freshman in high school, and at my school, we have to participate in many fund-raising projects just to keep our music programs alive. I hope you will print this letter so that people are aware of this issue facing students across the country. Please remember that music brings joy and we all need more joy!
