WTSP Decides Not To Renew Anchor's Contract

The management at WTSP, Channel 10, has decided not to renew the contract of 16-year veteran anchor Marty Matthews.

She has been co-anchor of the station's 4 p.m. "10 Connects" newscast since it launched in 2002. She also is known for her Wednesday's Child segments highlighting children that are up for adoption.

WTSP News Director Darren Richards confirmed that Matthews is no longer with the station but declined to comment. WTSP General Manager Ken Tonning was not available for comment this morning.
