Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Car On U.S. 41 In Citrus

A 48-year-old woman was killed while crossing U.S. 41 Wednesday night in Citrus County.
The Florida Highway Patrol said Israel Martinez of Floral City was crossing the highway south of East Brook Lane about 9 p.m. when she was hit by a Toyota Camry driven by Lee Green, 60, of Floral City.
Green and passenger Anna Green, 60, were not injured.
Martinez died at the scene, the accident report said.
Troopers are investigating the crash, and anyone with information is asked to call (352) 754-6767, ext. 172.
