TAMPA - Want to do your part for homeless pets?
If you've been waiting for your chance to help out at the Hillsborough County Animal Services shelter, another round of volunteer orientations is coming up for residents who wish to join the Volunteer Partnership Program.
Duties will include escorting people interested in adopting pets to the kennel area, photographing animals, assisting veterinarians, helping with special events and walking and socializing animals.
Orientations will be at 10 a.m. April 11 and 5:30 p.m. April 29.
Volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Candidates will be asked to commit to a minimum of 20 hours of service per month, including weekends.
