MIAMI - An American Crocodile whose skull was rebuilt by veterinarians at Miami Metrozoo has died.
The endangered reptile dubbed "RoboCroc" was found dead in its pool Thursday, about two weeks after vets bolted its skull and jaws together with four metal rods and 41 screws.
The 10-foot-long crocodile had not eaten for almost four months after its face was crushed by a car in the Florida Keys.
Zoo spokesman Ron Magill says the crocodile regained the ability to open its mouth but "never did eat."
