The Hyde Park Village Art Fair returned for its 20th anniversary today, bringing an eclectic mix of artists to the outdoor shopping center.
More than $15 million worth of artwork is on display and includes paintings, sculptures, photography, glass, wood, jewelry, collage and ceramics. Prices range from a $25 pair of hand-designed earrings to $20,000 metal sculptures.
"In today's economy, people are not buying a new car or taking a big vacation, but they are still treating themselves to art," says Howard Alan, president of Howard Alan Events, the festival's promoter.
The event, held at 1622 Snow Ave. in South Tampa, continues Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
