NEW PORT RICHEY - Joseph Nordon, the owner of Boulevard Beef & Ale restaurant on Grand Boulevard, was hospitalized early today at Tampa General Hospital. He was listed in serious condition.
Nordon, 55, was transferred from Morton Plant North Bay Hospital in New Port Richey less than a day after he was found incapacitated at his business, 6236 Grand Blvd.
Hospital officials declined to release information about the cause of Nordon's hospitalization, citing privacy laws.
Pasco Fire and Rescue officials said they responded to a call from Nordon's business at 9 a.m. Friday and took him to North Bay.
Nordon has been a fixture of downtown New Port Richey. In recent years, he has contributed to the ongoing revitalization of downtown, adding an outdoor patio to his restaurant in December.
