An 89-year-old woman was sexually assaulted this morning when three men broke into her Port Richey home, the Pasco County Sheriff's Office said.
The woman is small and frail and the attack left her with a bloody eye and numerous scrapes and scratches. In an interview this evening with News Channel 8, the woman said the three men burst into her home and kept yelling at her to tell them where her money was.
She said the men beat her and raped her. When she kicked one in the groin, another beat her even more, she said.
"I got my foot loose and I got stronger feet than anything and I kicked 'em in the vital part,'' she said. "And he stopped everything and then the other ones punched me in the ear here, which is my bad ear. And he kept punching me.''
TBO.com and News Channel 8 are not identifying the woman because of the nature of the crime.
The woman said she thinks the men were the same ones who broke into her home and robbed her last week. They took $84 and the keys to her car.
After the men left, the woman went to the home of a neighbor, who took her to the hospital. called the sheriff's office. Deputies were called to the hospital about 6 a.m.
The woman told detectives she does not have a description of her attackers because they had masks covering their faces.
