Brothers charged with domestic battery

Two brothers were charged with domestic battery Tuesday after a fight that involved a candlestick.
Deputies were sent to 7200 Schering St. around 6 p.m. to investigate a battery and met first with Thomas Root, 29, who was bleeding from the head.
He told deputies his brother, James Root, 35, had struck him in the back of the head with a candlestick, according to a report. James Root told deputies his brother started the fight and punched him in the face.
Both were arrested on charges of domestic battery.
