Crist to throw out first pitch for Rays

ST. PETERSBURG - Gov. Charlie Crist will deliver the ceremonial first pitch prior to the Rays' home opener Monday against the New York Yankees at Tropicana Field.
This will mark the third consecutive year Gov. Crist has thrown out the first pitch at the opener. He also threw out the first pitch before Game 6 of the 2008 American League Championship Series.
Crist is a graduate of St. Petersburg High School and served as general counsel for the National Association of Professional Baseball Leagues in St. Petersburg from 1982-87.
