SPRING HILL - A shoplifting charge was brought against a man who walked away from a $164 bar tab on Wednesday.
After a night of drinking at the Sunset Lounge that included four draft beers, four jager bombs and 17 "Incredible Hulks," the suspect, Peter Badiukiewicz, produced a debit card to cover the charges. The card was denied, however, and when asked for other payment Badiukiewicz walked out of the establishment at 5431 Spring Hill Drive, according to a report.
Badiukiewicz, 22, was stopped by employees and detained in the bathroom until deputies arrived. The suspect reportedly told authorities that he had $30,000 in his account to cover the charges and he just felt like going for a walk.
Deputies didn't buy his story and charged him with retail theft.
