The Starbucks coffee shops at Centro Ybor in Tampa and at Westfield Brandon are targeted for closing, according to a new posting of store closings on the Seattle-based company's Web site.
Starbucks announced in July that it would be closing 600 company-operated stores in the United States. It released the locations of many of those stores in July, including three stores in Tampa, two in Clearwater and one in St. Petersburg.
In January, Starbucks added another 300 stores to those set for closing, including 200 in the United States and 100 in international markets. This month the company released the locations of those additional stores, including the Centro Ybor store and Westfield Brandon store. A company spokeswoman Friday said she couldn't specifics on the timing of each of the closures.
A property manager for Centro Ybor said he was unaware of the pending closure Friday morning. A list of Starbucks locations selected for closing can be found at http://news.starbucks.com/about+starbucks/starbuck....
