TAMPA - A Tampa man kept 76 marijuana plants in a house, Hillsborough County deputies say.
Deputies arrested John B. Bentley, 36, at 8:30 a.m. today. He was charged with trafficking in marijuana, manufacture of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell and maintaining a home for cultivating marijuana.
About 4:50 p.m. Thursday, deputies conducted a search warrant at 5816 N. 19th St. Marijuana plants were in two bedrooms, deputies say. The plants weighed 40.5 pounds.
Deputies say Bentley received mail at the home.
Bentley remained in Orient Road Jail today. His bail has not been set.
