Broke and don't have the time to even worry about stress?
There are options, even online courses you can do in your own sweet time.
The University of Florida's Hillsborough County Extension office offers a free seven-part series on managing stress that can be done at your own pace.
Lessons look at the causes and symptoms of stress and ways you can try to control feelings and behaviors. It also introduces breathing, visualization and muscle relaxation exercises aimed at calming the mind and body.
The course does more than offer tips. It's a lot like attending a college lecture. Family life counselor Diana Converse talks as Power Point slides go through exercises. She even explains that, yes, we all need some stress in our lives, or we wouldn't be productive.
