Polk County deputies have found the Fort Meade man whose empty, burned car turned up without him early this morning.
Detectives initially ruled Eliseo Sanchez's disappearance as suspicious when his white Ford Mustang was found with at least one bullet hole in it about 2:40 a.m., near Pembroke and Gooch Roads in Fort Meade, sheriff's office spokeswoman Carrie Eleazer said.
Deputies tracked down 29-year-old Sanchez, of 221 North Palmetto Ave., at a friend's house shortly after 6 p.m.
He had last been seen at 2 a.m. in Fort Meade.
After deputies found Sanchez, they arrested him on a failure-to-appear warrant from Hillsborough County and booked him into the Polk County Jail.
