TAMPA - No one had to evacuate the University of South Florida's Tampa campus when a gas leak was discovered Saturday night.
Tampa Fire Rescue found a two-inch natural gas regulator leaking gas from a pressure relief valve about 9:28 p.m.
The gas regulator was located next to a five-story parking garage on the college campus near the intersection of Holly Drive and E. Banyan Street, Tampa Fire Rescue workers said.
The department's Hazardous Incident Team shut off the gas supply and stopped the leak. Workers with TECO Peoples Gas repaired the leak.
No injuries were reported.
