Didn't get your Tampa Bay Rays' championship ring Tuesday night?
If you missed out on the giveaway at Tropicana Field, a plethora are available on eBay and Craigslist, some selling for as much as $150.
Fans attending the sold-out game between Tampa Bay and the New York Yankees received replica copies of the American League championship rings that players were presented with that night.
Those hoping to make a quick buck were quick to post the souvenirs. Some were going for a low as $35.
Craigslist had about 20 listings by Wednesday afternoon. There were more than 90 posts on eBay, and some were getting bids, especially the lower-priced offerings. With less than two hours remaining on the auction for one ring, bidding had reached $88.
The rings weigh 8 ounces, with recessed and raised metal along with diamond dust on the face. The sides are inscribed with the Rays' 97-65 record last season and their 9=8 motto, almost like the real diamond-studded rings given to players.
