BRADENTON - A bicycling ice cart peddler was robbed at 7 p.m. Thursday when thieves pushed him down and took his case.
Manatee County deputies said Ruben Hernandes was peddling his cart when he noticed two men following. He turned into a driveway at 504 28th Ave. E. and dismounted.
Authorities said the men pushed him down and then went to the cart and took a plastic bag with $40 from earlier sales. They fled north on 6th Street East. Hernandes wasn't injured.
The suspects are described as a white man and a black man, both 15-18 years of age. The white man was about 5 feet 6 inches tall, muscular, wearing a white shirt and blue shorts with a white stripe. Authorities said he had a hickey on the left side of the neck.
The other man had an Afro, wore glasses and aqua shorts without a shirt.
