BRANDON - Six local Beef O'Brady's restaurants will donate 10 percent of their sales on Monday to the family of a young woman who was attacked outside the Bloomingdale Regional Library nearly a year ago.

"Our hearts go out to this young woman and her family for all that they have been through," said Cormac McCarthy, owner of the Beef's on FishHawk Boulevard in Lithia. "With times being tough right now, we thought this would be a great way to let people pitch in to help."

The 18-year-old East Bay High School student was beaten and raped outside Bloomingdale Regional Library on April 24, 2008. She returned to her south Hillsborough County home in November after being treated at a Sarasota rehabilitation center for five months.

Participating Beef O'Brady's restaurants are at 2561 E. State Road 60 and 4330 Bell Shoals Road, Valrico; 210 S. Kings Ave., Brandon; 16773 FishHawk Blvd., Lithia; 812 W. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Seffner; and 2418 James L. Redman Parkway, Plant City.
