TAMPA - Former University of Miami and Plant High quarterback Robert Marve has reduced his list of possible college destinations to five, Plant coach Robert Weiner said today.
Marve, who is transferring from UM, plans to visit Nebraska this weekend and then Texas Tech and Arizona State the following week. Marve also is considering South Florida and Purdue.
UCLA, which was once in the group of schools Marve was considering, is no longer in the mix.
Marve, who would have to sit out the 2009 season, would have two years eligibility remaining in 2010 and 2011. He's expected to make a decision where he will transfer next month.
Marve, a former Florida high school Mr. Football, announced he was transferring from Miami in December.
