Driver dies after crash on I-75

TAMPA - A Tampa woman died after a Saturday morning crash on Interstate 75 near Wesley Chapel.
Patricia Kowalczyk, 58, was driving north in the inside lane, the Florida Highway Patrol said. Her sport utility vehicle swerved into the next lane, colliding with a van driven by 69-year-old Doral Teetz of Gainesville, troopers said.
Kowalczyk's vehicle spun out of control and rolled several times, ejecting Kowalczyk, who was not wearing a seat belt, the highway patrol said.
Kowalczyk died at Tampa General Hospital.
Teetz's vehicle also spun out of control and overturned. Teetz and his passenger, Linda Teetz, suffered minor injuries, troopers said. The pair were wearing seat belts.
