Fire destroys home in Lutz

LUTZ - A house in Lutz is being called a total loss after a fire early this morning.
Hillsborough County Fire Rescue crews responded to 19115 Crooked Lane, near Lutz-Lake Fern Road, at 2:40 a.m.
Firefighters found flames and smoke throughout the home. They brought in extra water tanker trucks to battle the blaze. It took almost two dozen firefighters about an hour to put out the flames.
The two people inside the home escaped unharmed, firefighters said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
