Lakeland air show starts Tuesday

The 35th Annual Sun 'n Fun Fly-In will run Tuesday through Sunday at Lakeland Linder Regional Airport with aerial performances and exhibits of aircraft and aviation equipment.

The U.S. Army Golden Knights parachuting team is scheduled to be the headline performer on Friday through Sunday.

Nearly 5,000 aircraft generally are flown into the show and are on static display, while more than 500 commercial exhibits are planned for the program mostly geared to the general and corporate aviation market.

Regular adult admission is $150 for a week-long pass and $35 for daily admission. Teenager daily tickets are $15 and youngsters 12 and younger are free.

Florida residents and military personnel will be admitted Saturday and Sunday for $15, with the teenager price discounted to $5.

In addition, admission after 5 p.m. on Tuesday through Friday is $5.

Parking also will cost $5.
