SEBRING - A Sebring woman remained in jail today on a $55,385.50 bond following her arrest in connection with a January stabbing.
Cierra Dawn Brantley, 21, of 624 Sportsman Ave., Sebring, was booked after being served with warrants charging aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor battery. She was picked up in Alabama.
On Jan. 18, the Sebring Police Department received a report of a stabbing a 2620 S.R. 17 North. Officers spoke with a witness, who said several men started kicking the victim's boyfriend the night before, according to the arrest report.
The victim reportedly got on top of her boyfriend so he wouldn't get hurt any more. The witness said he then saw a girl with "dirty blonde hair pulled into a pony tail," later identified as Brantley, pull the other female off her boyfriend.
Brantley then allegedly stabbed the victim in her left side, just below the ribs, with a knife, as well as in the left thigh, the report stated.
SPD Officer Christopher Rittenour made the arrest.
