Dunedin Middle School was put in lockout status for the entire school day today, school officials said.
The move was precipitated by a fight between two students yesterday, Pinellas County School District spokeswoman Andrea Zahn said.
A lockout means no one can walk into the school without advance notice and permission, Zahn said. Other than that, it is a routine day, with all activities going on as scheduled, she said.
Parents were notified of the move via message sent to them this morning, Zahn said.
