MANATEE COUNTY - Officers say a man who tried to protect his manicured lawn from a dog on a walk was repeatedly attacked Thursday by the pet owner, who had been drinking.
The West Bradenton homeowner told police officers that he asked Jessica Fillis-Caudillo twice to not walk on his lawn with her dog around 9 p.m. Thursday, the report said.
Fillis-Caudillo, 48, reportedly refused and began punching and kicking the man.
The report states Fillis-Caudillo walked away and returned to continue fighting with the man three more times, leading the resident to push her in the bushes and spray her with a hose.
Fillis-Caudillo admitted to drinking alcohol Thursday evening but told officers she was pushed and sprayed with a hose simply for walking her dog in the neighborhood.
Fillis-Caudillo, of the 3700 block of 41st Avenue West, was charged with felony battery of a person older than 65.
