Saturday's Pet Adoption Expo at the Florida State Fairgrounds found new homes for 406 animals, officials said. Visitors snapped up the 16 dogs and 10 cats from Hillsborough County Animal Services. Other animals were brought to the expo by the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and various other rescue groups, including Little Miracles Rabbit Rescue and Sir Snuffy's Hedgehog Sanctuary, both of which had animals who found new homes, said animal services spokeswoman Marti Ryan.
