TAMPA - Clowns. So old-fashioned. Bounce houses. Fun but done. Three 50-inch plasma TVs and the latest video games rolling right up to your child's birthday party. Take that Mr. and Mrs. Jones.
A franchise business started in 2007 in Austin, Texas, now has its sights on crashing Tampa's shindigs. In less than two years, 28 franchises have been sold and 16 are operating, including Andy Allshouse's Tampa Bay venture. His rig can accommodate 16 gaming players inside and, if it's a nice day, eight on outside screens.
Prices for Games2U range from $199 for one hour and $299 for two hours, with each additional hour costing $99.
