TIA auctions abandoned property today

TAMPA - If work is piling up at the office or you expect a cold snap anytime soon, Tampa International Airport's annual auction of abandoned property has just what you need – a snow shovel.

Why someone left a snow shovel behind at the airport is anybody's guess.

But it will become available along with boxes of clothes, video games, iPods, computers, sporting equipment, jewelry, books and other items at the auction, began at 9:30 a.m. today at the former Delta Air Lines maintenance hangar off West Shore Boulevard.

The doors opened at 8 a.m.
