BRADENTON - A stun gunprobe struck a 35-year-old woman this afternoon while officers were trying to subdue her son during a domestic dispute.
Debra Seymour called police about 4:20 p.m. during an argument with her son Kyle, 20. She told deputies that he ripped the phone from her hands.
When deputies arrived at their Lake Bayshore Drive home, they said Kyle Seymour was argumentative and causing a scene.
After a brief struggle, a deputy attempted to use a Taser on him. One probe bounced off him and the other struck his mother. The electronic circuit was never completed so Debra Seymour wasn't shocked, deputies said. She was treated by emergency medical technicians who removed the probe.
Kyle Seymour was handcuffed and led away after being sprayed with pepper spray, deputies said.
